This piece was hand woven by Navajo weaver, Julia Joe. Julia was very well known in her time and Lorenzo Hubbell commissioned many weavings from her. She was active in the early 20th century and is known to have woven some of the largest Navajo weavings ever created. Julias husband, Sam Joe, would construct custom looms to accommodate the
